Barix Paging Lite app for iPhone and iPad

Wi-Fi Voice Paging using your iPhone made simple.

This Lite version of the Barix Paging App is intended to let you see for yourself how powerful it is to have a Paging Station in your pocket!

Imagine what you can do with this ! Use your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to
- Make security announcements in real time
- Give the kids a shout to call for dinner
- Search for that specialist in-house
- Ask your assistant to get you a coffee
- Command the evacuation of your cruise ship
- To turn your PC/MAC/linux workstation into a voice paging receiver, you can use the free “VLC” application.

With the lite version:
- announcements are restricted to max. 10s
- Zones will be forgotten when you exit the App. With multitasking versions of iOS, just leave the App running in the background to keep the config.

Until now, implementing live voice paging was a tedious task. Not any more with Barix !

Software: This Barix Paging App is all you need.

Hardware: You might already have paging receivers in your office (IP Phones, Barix devices, third party VoIP stuff). If not, choose from a wide range of Barix products to fit your specific needs. You can even use your existing amplifiers and paging system by adding just add one Barix Exstreamer device as a VoIP paging gateway.


Network: Besides your iDevice, you just need your Wi-Fi network, as long as you have Wi-Fi and your iPhone and “paging receivers” are connected to the network (wired ok). No internet connection is necessary (it does not harm, though).

NOTE: Users must have access to the Wi-Fi network to be able to make announcements, and you need RTP capable end devices.
